Alumno: Salvador Ovalles

My Name Is Salvador Ovalles I’m 14 years and I’m going to share my most sincere opinion of what a happy life is. I believe that for some people a happy life is one where they have a lot of money. For others, a happy life is one where they’re famous or successful, etc. In my opinion, a happy life is a delicate balance of achieving one’s dreams, cherishing the simple moments and cultivating meaningful relationships. It’s waking up with a sense of purpose, driven by passions and interests that make each day feel like a new adventure. In the hustle and bustle, it’s finding joy in the small things, like the warmth of the sun, the sound of laughter, the comfort of a good book, the aroma of a home-cooked meal, or the gentle breeze of the early morning. A happy life isn’t devoid of challenges though, but it’s about embracing those challenges with resilience and optimist. It’s surrounding oneself with love ones who offer support, understanding and shared moments of happiness. True happiness comes from within, from a deep sense of self-acceptance and contentment. It’s about being grateful for what one has, while still striving for growth and improvement.

People come and go, what made me feel more grateful towards the relationships I have is when my dad left to the US to make money, it had quite an impact on me and I realized how quickly and easily a person can leave. What made me enjoy the simple things is those moments when I wake up on an early Saturday morning, the gentle breeze, the chipping of the birds, etc, it fills me with a sense of relaxation that I rarely feel. Or when I return from school and lie down on my bed to rest. The small conversations with my family, the friendly teasing with my brother, the random intrusive thought of annoying my pets, the hangouts with my friends. It all makes me workship all those tiny things even more, makes me happy, I can’t quite put it to words, but I’m sure all of you get the point, I will refrain from talking around the point.

A happy life is ultimately about finding balance and fulfillment in both the big and small moments. It’s about setting and achieving goals that bring personal satisfaction while also cherishing the everyday experiences that often go unnoticed. The joy of spending time with loved ones, the serenity found in nature, and the sense of accomplishment from personal growth all contribute to rich and meaningful existence. Happiness is not a constant state but a journey of ups and downs, where resilience and optimism play crucial roles. It is about being true to oneself and maintain integrity. A happy life involves, gratitude for the present and hope for the future, embracing challenges, with a positive and continuously seeking to learn and grow. Reflecting personally, I’ve come to understand that happiness is a deeply individual experience. For me, the moments of joy often come from connections I build with loved ones, the satisfaction of achieving my goals, and the pleasure those simple moments bring to my life.

I encourage you to explore what brings you true joy, be it through relationships, achievements, or simply appreciating the beauty of life. Live in the present, don’t stress yourself out.
